The working group aims to assist nations seeking to comply with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) Import Provisions by developing scientific tools to evaluate data sets and methods for determining bycatch rates for marine mammal populations. The working group is funded by the Lenfest Ocean Program.
