Hello All, An announcement for a* Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) Coordinator for RESTORE *has been posted*.* This position will facilitate strategic partnerships and focus on collaboration among restoration efforts in the Gulf of Mexico and support planning, collaboration, environmental compliance coordination from the RESTORE Council's Comprehensive Plan. It will integrate measures to avoid and minimize impacts to bottlenose dolphins and other marine mammals and their habitats and integrate MMPA conservation actions into early project planning. This position will serve as a representative on MMPA issues in order to promote and communicate the importance of marine mammals, the MMPA process, best management practices, and mitigation.
