The Discovery of Sound in the Sea (DOSITS) <http://www.dosits.org/> Team is pleased to announce its 2021 webinar series on underwater acoustics <https://dosits.org/decision-makers/webinar-series/2021-webinar-series/>. Each webinar in this free, four-part series is scheduled for approximately 60 minutes and will be comprised of a presentation by one or more experts, followed by a period of facilitated discussion. Prior to each webinar, an outline of the presentation, with links to relevant background content on DOSITS, will be made available. All webinars will be recorded and archived on the DOSITS website (DOSITS Webinars <https://dosits.org/decision-makers/webinar-series/>). Two webinars will be hosted in the Spring of 2021: Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:00pm ET, Dr. Sofie Van Parijs (NOAA Fisheries, Passive Acoustic Program) Topic: Passive Acoustic Monitoring Overview- Applications for Marine Mammals and Fishes Friday, May 7, 2021 at 12:00pm ET, Dr. Susan Parks (Syracuse University) and Dr. Jeff Kneebone (Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life at the New England Aquarium) Topic: Acoustic Tag Technologies and Applications The DOSITS webinar series is open to all interested individuals, however, registration is required.
