On behalf of myself and my co-author Nacho Oria, I am pleased to announce
our recent publication titled "Insights into the foraging behaviour of an
understudied orca population", recently published in the Latin American
Journal of Aquatic Mammals.

It is a short note, where we describe an event that took place in the Gulf
of California (Mexico) in 2018, when a group of orcas was seen chasing, and
potentially feeding, on a common dolphin. The dolphin was separated from a
group of about 200 animals. The behaviour of the orcas (e.g., breaching
entirely out of the water) are consistent with previous observations in the
area. One female was seen expelling water from her mouth while in the air.
We hope this report provides new insights into this understudied orca
population.
