The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center is currently seeking an Exhibits 
Technician I - Stranding Response and Research Technician. This position serves 
as part of the Stranding Response Program team of staff, volunteers, and 
interns. Team members are often assigned a primary area of responsibility based 
on candidate experience and skill level, as well as programmatic needs. 
Regardless of primary assignment, all team members are expected to have 
foundational skills and working knowledge in the coordination of response to 
live and dead marine mammals and sea turtles, medical treatment and husbandry 
involved in the rehabilitation of sea turtles, assistance with database entry 
and quality control of case and sample information, assistance with necropsies 
on sea turtles and marine mammals, and rotation of hotline coverage and 
outreach activities.
