New College of Florida’s Marine Mammal Science group (ncf.edu/mimms) is hiring a Laboratory Technician to help move research from conception to practice to publication. In this role, you will: - Contribute to research projects spanning brain imaging, marine mammal cognition, acoustics, and more - Support graduate student training in tools, workflows, and best practices - Assist with manuscripts, figures, and data management with high attention to detail - Pitch in on lab/field operations (car required for travel to data collection sites), instrumentation, and QA/QC as needed What we’re looking for: - Curiosity, initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and calm under pressure - Experience with (or motivation to learn) coding/scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation - A collaborative teammate who enjoys learning new methods Timeline: We will begin reviewing applications on December 1.
