Dear colleagues,

does anyone know of any published information on how far away distant trawlers
(or other fishing boats) can be detected acoustically or visually by cetaceans?
If so, could you please share it with me?

I am familiar with information reported by Norris and Prescott 1961 and
Bonizzoni et al. 2022 for bottlenose dolphins and trawlers, by Jefferson 2000
for Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins and trawlers, and by Thode at al. 2007 for
sperm whales and longliners. However, I suspect there is additional information
out there.

Thank you for any help you may provide!
