Clearwater Marine Aquarium Research Institute North Atlantic Right Whale Aerial 
Survey Job Announcement

Clearwater Marine Aquarium Research Institute (CMARI), a non-profit research 
and conservation organization, is seeking temporary seasonal right whale aerial 
survey positions ranging from November 2026 through April 2027. These positions 
are in anticipation of research activities to be conducted in the southeastern 
United States, contingent upon funding. Applicants must be able to work for the 
entirety of the project. CMARI is currently seeking both Aerial Observer 
positions and Team Leader positions. Both positions require conducting aerial 
surveys. Aerial survey flights will occur up to six days per week. These 
positions will require completion of an aviation and marine safety/survival 
training course. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required. Group housing is 
provided.
