I am a marine acoustics professional with AngieSea, a marine conservation and research company based in Mauritius. I am offering personalised one-to-one online sessions for students and early-career researchers who want to deepen their understanding of underwater sound. Topics can include: - Fundamentals of acoustics and sound propagation underwater - Decibels and sound pressure levels - Transmission Loss (TL) and the Sonar Equation - Absorption, scattering and reflection - Hydrophones and underwater recordings - Underwater noise and its potential impacts on marine mammals Each session is tailored to the participant's needs, whether they want to understand the fundamentals, clarify difficult concepts or strengthen their theoretical knowledge for their studies or research. *Format:* Online, one-to-one sessions *Duration and fee:* €90 per hour *Preparation:* Participants must submit their questions or topics at least 48 hours in advance. The sessions are particularly suitable for marine biology, oceanography and marine mammal science students, as well as early-career researchers working with underwater sound.
