Join us on 21 October for a webinar on the World Shipping Council's new Whale Chart, the global mapping of measures designed to reduce harm to whales from vessels, now available in a new digital format: https://lnkd.in/eqg6TzuU <https://www.linkedin.com/safety/go/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flnkd%2Ein%2Feqg6TzuU&urlhash=G_K_&mt=_Ql5SY4bITxQ1-kJ7AnNs506kh7mvG2Wzf98fl2RvY5X2YF0b6245vEW61CeDo2P6XrY-po4WWldlbd2P8zluaO9vL9Rosczg2RL7WcyAPW-KbntHVFGVbnLJWM&isSdui=true>
The WSC Whale Chart maps all known mandatory and voluntary governmental measures around the world, including speed restrictions, routing measures, areas to be avoided and measures addressing underwater radiated noise. HUB Ocean and the World Shipping Council have teamed up to bring the Whale Chart to HUB Ocean's Ocean Data Platform, making these measures easier to explore, easier to keep up to date and easier to use across digital tools. Wei Jun Mun <https://www.linkedin.com/in/wei-jun-mun-3a99b3150/>, WSC Director of Public Policy, who leads the work on the WSC Whale Chart, will be joined by Max Romagnoli <https://www.linkedin.com/in/max-romagnoli-dublin/>, Geospatial Software Engineer at HUB Ocean <https://www.linkedin.com/company/hubocean/>, for a practical walkthrough and discussion. The WSC Whale Chart is freely available for mariners, ship operators, governments, researchers and anyone working to better understand and reduce the impact of shipping on whales.
