Hello MARMAM members A reminder - Statistical reasoning can help marine mammal researchers make their analytical choices explicit. Seminal Ideas & Controversies in Statistics: A Short Course is a 2-day seminar livestreaming November 3–4 with Roderick Little (Department of Biostatistics, University of Michigan). Generalized estimating equations offer an approach to analysing correlated longitudinal data. The discussion compares estimating equations with likelihood inference and considers the assumptions behind each approach. Marine mammal researchers can use these comparisons to assess and explain choices in analyses of longitudinal records.
