When it came to Parsing Theory, I was an eager volunteer for frontline
duty. When it came to XS programming, I was one of those who had to be
drafted at gunpoint. But it certainly is pleasant to hear that, based
on the end result, it looks to others like I know what I am doing.
Of course the gold standard for XS examples is the code in the Perl
core, as well as the modules cited as examples cited in Jeness&Cozens.
A reader cannot assume they are perfect, but they are all products of a
very high level of expertise.

Oh! And while I am at it, big thanks to Jeffrey for answering my
Perl-XS integration questions!
As I mentioned on IRC, I was using Marpa's XS components, both to
educate myself and as a practical example of how to write good XS code.
I'm quite happy that things ended up working out.

Hi Ron,
Yes, I am the author of the wrapper. I am evaluating SENNA for my
PhD work and ended up writing a Perl wrapper for it.
Is there anything you'd like to ask?
Greetings,
Deyan
