My current working hypothesis is that this might be a bug in Marpa's
progress reports. Your diagnostics are using a method --
last_completed() -- which depends on these indirectly. I'm currently
tracking this down.
If you can work up a smaller example, it would help me out. Otherwise,
I'll continue with this one.
