Hi Giulia,
no, these tests are not fully functional yet so they are unlikely
to point you to the source of your problem. Could you send us
the terminal output of the clean biomart-perl checkout configured with
perl bin/configure.pl -r conf/registryURLPointer.xml
just copy and paste whatever messages your see there to your mail
and send it us. Perhaps this would give us a clue what is broken
in your apache/mod_perl/cpan install
