I'm having problems when using the martservice to determine the versions of some of the marts at biomart.org. Most of the marts return the version (0.5 or 0.4) but following all behave differently:
1. WORMBASE 167 (CSHL) http://www.biomart.org/biomart/martservice?type=version&mart=wormbase_current Connects but doesn't respond 2. GRAMENE (CSHL) http://www.biomart.org/biomart/martservice?type=version&mart=ENSEMBL_MART_ENSEMBL Connects and responds with 200 OK but returns no data. 3. DICTYBASE (NORTHWESTERN) http://www.biomart.org/biomart/martservice?type=version&mart=dicty Connects and responds with 200 OK and returns: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"><HTML><HEAD><TITLE>200 OK</TITLE></HEAD><BODY><H1>OK</H1>The server encountered an internal error ormisconfiguration and was unable to completeyour request.<P>Please contact the server administrator, webmaster&#064;mydomain.org and inform them of the time the error occurred,and anything you might have done that may havecaused the error.<P>More information about this error may be availablein the server error log.<P></BODY></HTML> David -- David Withers School of Computer Science, University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PL, UK.
