Is it possible to run two BioMart sites with different styling using > one > set of BioMart perl libraries? you can achieve this by editing conf/httpd.conf and extend it according to your needs. It will be a merger of two httpd.conf generated by different registries. It might be very difficult to achieve and maintain such edited files, as whenever you run the configure script, it will regenerated this and many other files assuming there is going to be a single registry and a single server. Effectively overriding you changes to both apache configuration files and css style sheets. > > 2. Failing this, has anyone tried one Apache installation hosting two sets > of BioMart perl libraries for different BioMart sites? > Ideally this is the best option. you can run two apache instances on different ports each pointing to its own biomart-perl installation. it would scale better and you always have the freedom to update/upgrade by bringing down the relevant instance. > 3. Failing this, I suppose I could have two Apache installations on > different ports. there is no need to install two apache binaries, if you mean two system wide installations. If you meant running apache on two different ports as i said earlier, then the answer is below question 2. hope this helps. cheers syed > Any info much appreciated! > > Robert > > This message is commercial in confidence and may be privileged.
