Dear mart dev team,

is there a possibility to create a composite primary key (multiple columns) for a dimension table, which can be used in the key fields of filters?

I want to query synonyms in the following scenario:

protein_main
protein_id_key

protein_synonym_dm
protein_id_key
protein_synonym
species

in protein_synonym_dm neither protein_id_key nor protein_synonym is unique but the composite of all three fields. Can I specify at some point a composite key? Which consequences are expected, if I use a non primary key in the "key" field of filters?

Thank a lot,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
sorry for the later reply but you mail somehow disappeared from our radar screen.

there is no need for the key on dm to be unique, you are expected to use an FK (protein_id_key) in your dm table
and everything will work fine as far as I can see
