Try to connect directly to Ensembl archive marts (www.ensembl.org) 2. You can setup BioMart server yourself and connect to compara mart which is available from public mysql server at martdb.enembl.org 3. Failing that, we are happy to setup a server for you so you can use it for your demonstration purposes.
