yes, there is a documentation on the project website (www.biomart.org). Look 
for full documentation the pdf format. We are also very happy to give you a 
tutorial on how to set up federated marts. This will soon be officially 
released but we can give you the current not yet released version. Finally i 
need to warn you that joins on mult-valued exportables such as chromosome 
locations will only work correctly if one of the datasets is invisible (there 
is a bug in the code that prevents this join working correctly for visible 
datasets)
