Ahhh, I guess i know whats happening. You have put multiple filters in
the same FilterCollection. By doing so, you get only one checkbox for
all the filters. The best is to declare a separate FilterCollection for
each filter, consequently you will see an independent checkbox for each
filter and this will prevent the said problem from happening.
Hope this helps.

Syed

No. It is not about the filter getting selected. This is about the value in
drop down getting selected by default
I have made a filter to be visible as drop down and couple of other filters.
So, when I query with other filters (not touching the drop down one), the
application take the query I have put as well as the first value in the drop
down.
So, I wanted to know how this could be avoided.
Reg your question, you could see from the below XML, Filters GO_ID_CellComp
(which is a drop down)
has value = "---" by default though I haven't really selected any. Could this
be changed in anyway ?
<Filter name = "regulation" value = "Up"/>
<Filter name = "GO_ID_CellComp" value = "---"/>
<Filter name = "speciesname" value = "Drosophila melanogaster"/>
<Filter name = "ChromosomeLoc" value = "---"/>
<Filter name = "GO_ID_Desc" value = "cytoplasm"/>
<Attribute name = "evidence" />
<Attribute name = "go_id" />
<Attribute name = "chromosomeloc" />

I wonder why that would be the case. Are you saying that this filter
gets seleceted automatically? could you please check if you hit XML
button, what appears in XML - i want to see whether this filter exists
in the query by default ?

Syed,
I had one more question.
I have inserted a drop down in the mart editor. While querying, it is always
taking the first value when I don't choose anything from the drop down.Is there
a way in which I can over ride this ?
Thanks.

Syed,
I tried doing that. However, the filter gets embedded as options then I tried
adding to Filter group.
However, it will be nice if we could have ways to make filter it go up or down
as one of the properties.

Hi Bala,
i guess the answer to your question is 'Drag and Drop' - that should be
the quickest solution. I am assuming that you do not have 100s of filters.

Hi Bio-mart Team,
I am setting up a mart using the Mart editor. I wanted to know how we can move
the various filter so that they are in specific order. The problem I am facing
is - I want to arrange the filters in a specific order once they are created.
However, I am not able to do it.
As of now I am have to delete and re-create all the filter in a specific other.
Is there any alternative to this.
Thanks for your reply.
Best regards,
Bala
