I really appreciate janice's writing, she always has something interesting in
her posts
I was not aware there was a slogan such as 'pretend to work-pretend to get
paid' that struck me as more like a mickey dees or wendies mangerial adage
than something out of the soviet union's past. mickey dee, wendy with her
pig tails and the old man Dave Thomas got his G.E.D. in 92, dishes out the
folksy -heart-warming ads, starring himself. Dave Thomas owns Wendys and is
a hard-core right-wing corporate
partner. Appearing in ads, he has the fluffy white hair and resembles sir
alec guiness--playing a kindly, wise man.
Burger King is now incorporating the BK4U , in it's attempt to capture the
urban Black market. There are no more mom and pop stores where people made
a small profit and perhaps retired to florida, living modestly.
Executives who manage the sites (stores) run the business from the office for
the maximum profit possible under any conditions-so of course the minimum
wage earning personnel I think, would more or less be motivated to only
pretend to work.
wendy's chains from what I know and Burger King and Mickey dee's only pretend
to pay people! Capitalism only 'works' for the managerial class, and the
managerial class only exists as long as the store can remain operative. In
a slowing economy
not all stores remain operative-so, like I B M lower-level management the
people
have to move around from one location to another , helping corporate suck the
money out of the pockets of the "customers", people tired enough, and hungry
enough to go to the Taco Bell, or the Wendy's, or Mickey dees, or Burger King
because they are too exhausted to shop for fresh food and cook it themselves-
thus
the cholesterol levels are boosted, yet again.
I've Been Moved, that is what I B M stands for, :-). ---Isn't it one of the
criticsisms of
communism-that it heartlessly moves people around, making them travel and
spend time away from loved ones?
How come it is 'ok' for capitalism to require workers to move around and be
away from home and family, to perform the functions of the job--yet,in
criticsism,of communism/socialism it is heartless to do this...it is
fascinating how many of these double standards there truly are, when it
comes to the propaganda machine of the capitalists.
The peoples's stores would of course be open 24/7 and the food would not be a
cholesterol night mare, because it is not healthy to sell cholesterol or give
it away for that matter.
The peoples stores will not carry french fried potatoes cooked in beef fat.
the peoples's stores will not serve food made with beef that is rotted,
tainted, or foul in any way, nor fish with high mercury content .
The people's stores will be run by the people, for the people.
Soup will not be made from garbage. Additives and preservatives will not be
used - other than the additive of soy enhancing the nutritional value of the
food.
I could go on but I won't. (not at this juncture) !!! :-)
