BTW, there is a fairly complete collection of George Orwell's writings is to be found at http://orwell.ru and his preface to "Animal Farm" is also available there: http://orwell.ru/library/novels/Animal_Farm/english/efp_go It is worthwhile to browse the whole catalogue on http://orwell.ru for a number of other essays by Eric Blair, not only in English, but also in some other languages, especially in Russian, as one might expect. George Orwell aka Eric Blair is still my favourite English writer.
