Roy was a personal friend.  I was speaking to him some weeks ago. I knew he
was unwell when I attended the conference.  He was still the usual gentle
genial self.  We were to meet up again at the next Critical Realist
conference.
I feel a terrible sense of loss about this.  Just devastating.
