"Help" is just a word in the title. It assumes the US was really going
to attack Syria and Israel/Russia helped prevent the attack. More like
they helped Obama climb down from a position he had no interest being in
in the first place.
The point though is that Putin's role is well-known. It is celebrated by
a certain crowd the world over, the great peace-loving, anti-imperialist
Russia prevented US aggression against poor little Syria. Their problem
now will be having to add Israel to Russia in that schema.

That doesn't sound like much "help," it just sounds like the idea
happened
to come from the Israeli government. It's not like they themselves
offered
to take in the CW or something. I think calling that "help" is an
exaggeration, more like they just proposed an idea that Obama agreed
with.
