A. R. G. makes some valid points. While I disagree with the statement (An open letter to the U.S. Campaign and other Activists for Justice in Palestine), I recognize the names of many fine Palestine activists among those who have signed it. And Gilad Atzmon is not among the signers, at least initially and perhaps still true today. His presence among the initial signers could have discouraged some people from signing. It may be a measure of how far Atzmon has fallen that A. R. G., in seeking to make a comparison, uses the name of David Duke. It;s not that long ago that Atzmon was still invited to events organized by the Socialist Workers Party in the UK. And I'd have to look it up, but it seems not that long ago that Atzmon was able to tour in the U. S. speaking to meetings organized by Palestine solidarity activists. (It must be at least ten years ago, at least the tour I'm thinking of).
