A. R. G. makes some valid points.

While I disagree with the statement  (An open letter to the U.S. Campaign and 
other Activists for Justice in Palestine),  I recognize the names of many fine 
Palestine activists among those who have signed it.  And Gilad Atzmon is not 
among the signers, at least initially and perhaps still true today.  His 
presence among the initial signers could have discouraged some people from 
signing.

It may be a measure of how far Atzmon has fallen that A. R. G., in seeking to 
make a comparison, uses the name of David Duke.  It;s not that long ago that 
Atzmon was still invited to events organized by the Socialist Workers Party in 
the UK.  And I'd have to look it up, but it seems not that long ago that Atzmon 
was able to tour in the U. S. speaking to meetings organized by Palestine 
solidarity activists.  (It must be at least ten years ago, at least the tour 
I'm thinking of).

Those wishing to further understand Alison Weir's point of view may wish to
