Yes, I've seen it. I liked it quite a bit, especially the casting of William Peterson as Will Graham. Peterson was also very good in William Friedkin's "To Live and Die in LA." An under-appreciated actor.

You probably know this already, but Michael Mann adapted "Red Dragon" for film back in the 80's. It was called "Manhunter". Sort of a stylized adaptation currently enjoying cult status--Miami Vice meets Silence of the Lambs.
