Frankly, the Cuban propaganda machine did much more damage than any of its troops might have done. I think the god-damned amen corner gets a lot of its traction from the Cuban and Venezuelan press. If it had been telling the truth about Gaddafi and Assad all along, we would have had an easier job building solidarity. It is all the more egregious with Venezuela that speaks in the name of 21st Century Socialism when in fact excuses being made for the Russian intervention are strictly out of the CPUSA playbook circa 1938.
