This mass of about 1000 people, so the police then had been dispersed with a certain amouth of police violence. The groping happened, according to my information, on both sides of the only door left open to the train station. The Cologne central station is open 24/7, but in the night hours there remains only one door open. Unfortunately also in the News Years night. So huge crowds assembled inside and outside of that door, being pressed very densely. In that situation most groping happened.
