"Aldabonazo: Inside the Cuban revolutionary underground 1952-1958" (Pathfinder Press), by Armando Hart, a leading participant, is another excellent account of the urban struggle and the strategic issues the Cuban revolutionaries had to confront. I too am looking forward to reading this new book from MR Press. -----Original Message----- From: Marxism [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Louis Proyect via Marxism Sent: Tuesday, February 09, 2016 10:44 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Marxism] New book on Cuba from Monthly Review Press ******************** POSTING RULES & NOTES ******************** #1 YOU MUST clip all extraneous text when replying to a message. #2 This mail-list, like most, is publicly & permanently archived. #3 Subscribe and post under an alias if #2 is a concern. ***************************************************************** On 2/9/16 10:01 PM, Michael Yates via Marxism wrote: > We are pleased and proud to publish Steve Cushion's "A Hidden History > of the Cuban RevolutionHow the Working Class Shaped the Guerrillas' > Victory." As opposed to the dismissal of the revolution as a rural putsch led by petty bourgeois guerrillas, Sweig's book puts the student and working class movement on an equal plane with the rural armed struggle. It looks like this new book will push this analysis even further. _________________________________________________________ Full posting guidelines at: http://www.marxmail.org/sub.htm Set your options at: http://lists.csbs.utah.edu/options/marxism/rfidler_8%40sympatico.ca _________________________________________________________ Full posting guidelines at: http://www.marxmail.org/sub.htm Set your options at: http://lists.csbs.utah.edu/options/marxism/archive%40mail-archive.com
