In terms of the articles mentioned above, unfortunately the online
archives for Journal of Peasant Studies begin in 2008 so I don't have
access to them. I see that Tom Brass has been in an ongoing debate with
Banaji for a number of years. I am loath to interject myself in them
since as I stated I have never read that much of him. Maybe I'll take a
look at the Brass/Banaji debates after I've had a chance to read "Theory
as History".
