At the thrift shop I picked up a copy of Wings Over Persia.
This is the memoir of Lou Martin, an American who worked as a pilot in Iran
from 1976 till he fled at the end of 1978.
You will find much to be offended with, but it is a primary source.
Available to a scholar in this area of study.
