Look how the NY Times helps make the case for the Charlotte cops. This "reporting" is calculated to prejudice readers against the victim of out-of-control cops:
"Mr. Scott’s family residence was not the best maintained of the homes in a largely tidy place: Paint had either been stripped from the front door or peeled off. Blinds were bent, and a window screen was lying in the bushes on Wednesday. A burglar alarm service sign had been uprooted and was lying upside down."
