I suspect that Stuart is jealous because, unlike me, he didn't get eight mentions in the book. *** On a more serious note, I will read the book because I am interested in the history of the SWP/DSP, a group that I was part of for several decades. I expect to disagree with some of John Percy's and/or Allen Myers' opinions, but that's OK. It will be an opportunity to be reminded of what the DSP said and did at various stages in its development. This may prompt some reconsideration of what we got right, and what mistakes we made. Nobody has yet demonstrated in practice that they have the complete answer on how to make a socialist revolution in an advanced capitalist country. Looking at past attempts to build a socialist party may be useful in clarifying our ideas.
