Have you seen Christian Petzold's "*Barbara"*? In some sense Petzold's film
follows Godard's dictum that the best way to critique a film is to make a
film. Petzold, who created a Stasi character who defied the well worn
stereotype, was obviously disturbed by "*The Lives of Others"*. It's a
movie worth seeing.
