children from their parents at the border. Now Trump claims he’s making
changes, but that’s not enough. He’s only walking back the latest
escalation of anti-immigrant policies that not only tear apart families
but also undermine the rights of all workers.
When working people are divided and some are afraid of deportation, it
undermines workers’ collective power against the capitalist class.

The great work of DSAers is helping change the narrative:
* Last night, Metro DC DSA confronted DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen
in a Mexican restaurant -- yes, you read that right -- demanding
that she end the internment of migrant children in Texas and abolish
ICE.
* Right now, Portland, Oregon DSAers are part of a coalition occupying
the land surrounding Portland's ICE detention center.
* Today, NYC DSA is joining a World Refugee Day march and rally to the
UN and Trump Tower led by African Communities Together (ACT) and the
City of Refuge Coalition.
* This Saturday, Miami DSA is cosponsoring the March to Keep Families
Together to demand an end to detention camps and Trump’s fascistic
immigration policies.
* In Fargo, North Dakota, Red River Valley DSA is pushing back against
racist politicians who seek to eliminate refugee placement programs
in North Dakota.
More reports are coming in as I write.
Anytime ICE deports someone’s father or sister, they are separating a
family. *We need to keep this movement going. Please RSVP to tomorrow’s
