But it is not a statement of the ISO. It is instead a couple of letters to their newspaper that has been opened up for public discussion by its membership, which is commendable.
In fact, there is a follow-up by Alan Maass and Jen Roesch, and from Paul Le Blanc, that replies to the letters. They are quite good. I already posted a link to the replies:
