Story at-a-glance - Adaptive multi-paddock (AMP) grazing is a certain type of rotational grass fed farming that allows cattle to graze in one paddock at a - time, while other paddocks have a chance to grow and regenerate at an accelerated pace. What made this possible was the highly efficient very lightweight electric fencing that can be moved around to different paddocks by a single person. - In one four-year study, greenhouse gas emissions from the AMP system were reduced to a negative amount whereas feedlot emissions increased due to soil erosion - AMP grazing has the potential to offset greenhouse gas emissions by sequestering carbon in the soil and acting as a net carbon sink.
