Oh, come on, Michael. The cancel culture consists of powerless and mostly young people writing angry Tweets. On the other hand, Cary Nelson got Steven Salaita fired because of his pro-Palestinian writing. Harper's, the sponsor of this meretricious letter, is owned by John MacArthur who is one of the signers. He has also fired multiple editors because they didn't agree with him on an article and to preempt a union organizing drive. Anyhow, I have an article on this in tomorrow's Counterpunch.
