Yep, I'm with Greg on this one. Although I wouldn't follow either of these guys without watching my own steps very closely, I have a certain affection for both of them.
The affection is utterly untouched either way by this story.... I'd find this explanation more reasonable if it weren't so eager to demonize Moore and jibed more with what we know of him. Just to take one example, Moore's telling Chavez to tone down the rhetoric doesn't make him a patriot defending Bush. It just makes him a bit of a liberal wimp. All of us are quite familiar with him in that guise. I also think that making an issue the idea that Chavez would (shudder) drink creates a non-issue where one shouldn't be. I mean, in the end, none of this reflects poorly on Chavez...unless we're working on a new Cult of Fearless Leader, does it?
