If indeed Funes is planning to visit Cuba I think that would be a positive sign as well. My source in the FMLN had mentioned disagreements with Funes going back to the electoral victory, because Funes chose to bypass many key FMLN cadre when he named his cabinet. Funes wanted to chose his own people, not people in the FMLN. But the party recognized that Funes is highly popular within the country and thus had sought to minimize the conflict as much as possible. Looks like that has not worked out as planned.
