Does anyone know the history of attempts to build a union of the unemployed

Does anyone think this idea would resonate with sections of the, organized

this could do politically?

This is a very short mention of such in Kornbluh's history of the IWW:

"During the Great Depression, the IWW joined with others to set up
"unemployed unions" to provide housing and food for the jobless."
