What we are witnessing is rather the reconfiguration of bourgeois institutions as they circle their wagons to preserve what remains of dysfunctional accumulation. Calling this capitalist is a misnomer and only adds to the confusion. The economy in and of itself functions with hypertrophied financialization, its instruments of exchange are but atemporal shadows of a universal equivalent and the only sector of production which shows great gains is the war machinery. Does this crisis present an > opening for the working class (that's us)? YES BUT NOT IN AMERICA - where fortunately capitalism could not penetrate all social relations. As Marx found out in his later life the revolutions would take place exactly not where capitalism formed weak links but where there still existed non capitalist accumulation, which for us means most of Latin America, Africa and S.E. Asia.
