I also want to say a word about complaining about Obama. I think criticism
from the likes of Krugman and Huffington is very important. For these are
nothing if not signs of a crisis among the bourgeois ideologists. We should
join that criticism as loudly and as clearly as possible. Every post on this
list which highlights Obama's treachery is important. It is all part of the
chorus of disenchantment that should shake the bourgeois ideologists who
still cling to Obama to their roots.

The result may well be that Obama will turn out to be a one termer. So be
it. I know Afro-Americans will take this very badly, but it may be that they
have to go through this period of having their hopes raised just to be
dashed.

I regularly play Obama's Chicago speech to my students as an ecellent
example of political rhetoric. It was extremely impressive and it was all a
pack of lies. We owe it to the truth to keep saying that in every forum we
can command. Our advantage is that even the most moderate are beginning to
see that.

regards

Gary
