Manufacturing is less than 15% of GDP.
We have coming up: the Alt-A resets, a crisis in commercial real estate, a ton
of junk debt used for overpriced LBOs and mergers to be rolled over starting
next year, an unsustainable Federal debt burden and a major crisis in many
State budgets. Bernanke has to try to unwind all his trades which will be
exciting. Not to mention massive unemployment (around 15-17% by any realistic
measure), which will grow as the temporary census hires are released and States
do some serious cutting of payrolls.
I wouldn't party yet.
