Comrades,

I wonder if anyone here has stopped to think about the amount of elitism,
sectarianism, etc that has been displayed on this list in the last few
hours.

I mean, most of you don't even know me or any of the people in ComDeb. I've
been on this list for some 5 years reading occasionally (I'm literally on
dozens of lists and sift through 100s of mails per day as any good commie
would) and I've never said anything that would warrant attacks like this.

I'm going to take a wild guess here that many of you are older comrades...
maybe in your 50s or older, would that be fair? I am getting old myself, as
I just hit 30 this month.

A lot of people in ComDeb are high school age and some in college/uni or
that age and working. Many of them new to Marxism. Is this what they should
run into right off the bat? Kneejerk rejection?

When this type of behavior is displayed in the communist community
(immediate knee jerk reaction) is it any surprise that Marxism is failing (I
have other material theories of why as well) so hard core in the west? It
reminds me of when I was with northstarcompass and trying to explain to 76
year olds why making the magazine on computer would save Michael Lucas some
$20,000 per year instead of having it done the old way, receiving blank
stares and an awkward pause for some 60 seconds then having the proposal
voted down...

When older comrades become so alienated from the youth then it becomes
problematic, we look to you after all, to learn. Yes, youth need to make a
concious effort to try to understand the older comrades and communicate with
them. But if older comrades are genuinely interested in teaching something
then they should make the extra effort, or stand aside while we take the
driver seat, and go purchase your coffins.

List owner apologized to me and I thanked him for that, I guess he thought
we were spamming. I'm still not sure what initial content made him think of
"jack ass" but I wonder if from an opportunist standpoint we could actually
use it to attract more people! ;p

Since the ComDeb group is open on YT to it's members to post videos you will
find everyone's opinions on there is different. What you have are various
communists tired of all the debating and sqaubling LEADING TO NOTHING BUT
DISUNITY. What we resolved to do is put aside differences as Trotskyites,
Maoists, etc. etc. and try to find things we do agree on and come up with
ways to work together. We resolved that we will always find things to be at
odds at, but the worst thing to do is then turn our backs on each other when
there is important issues to fight for together.

Why Stalin was chosen, well someone suggested it, it was seconded and no one
opposed! Simple as that!

I would suggest if you are truly interested in taking this in a direction
you think you have better idea it could be going in, join it! There is
nothing stopping anyone here from jumping right in.

As for the Inner Party Unity Video from MRN, criticizing him with
pseudo-Marxist jungle about how it's not dialectical without explaining why
is just you spoiuting rhetoric to try and look smart. In that video he was
replying after two people got into a heated disagreement (myself and a
radical feminist social-democrat). He was putting it forward as a rationale
way for people to solve issues rather then the personal attacks that were
being flung at me. MRN does a lot fo good work bringing news, theory and
commentary on YT and has a decent following, probably more than any other
communist on YT.

Comradely,

MR
