The Socialist Party remained firmly antiwar, and
continued to be so when the US finally entered
the First World War.  However, there were
elements within the Party who broke away
to support Wilson like the writer Upton Sinclair.
Some of the pro-Wilson socialists were
awarded jobs within the Wilson Administration.
