WARNING: the next person after Patrick Bond to reply to a message larger than 3 kB without clipping extraneous text will be put on moderation for a week. the next person, two weeks, and so forth for the next couple days. this is ridiculous. clipping extraneous text means at a minimum deleting the set of three lines containing "Rule #1". that should get everyone into practice.
