While there is no clear indication that Loughner was directly influenced by right-wing ideology - it still remains to be seen whether he was or wasn't - there seems little doubt, based on his emails and the testimony of those who knew him, that his rage, confusion, incoherence, virulent misogyny, attraction to guns and the military, dark suicidal thoughts, and immersion in a white community feeling itself under threat from an alien race(s), all fit the profile of the authoritarian personality described by Adorno and others which is typically attracted to right wing causes.
