I read the article you referred to Greg and carefully too. There is nothing that I could detect which revealed any understanding of political economy. Nor apart from the reference to Zionists was there any analysis of American Imperialism and specifically the role of American Aid. They do not even call for breaking off diplomatic relations with Israel. Really this is a call for the creation of a bourgeois democratic Egypt. Quite stageist actually. I do not think I am being hyper critical here. For the moment I accept the Angry Arab's analysis that secularism is in the ascendancy in opposition to the Mubarak regime, while the Brotherhood is really lagging behind. I expect that to change if the protests turn into an uprising. The Brotherhood will in all probability scramble to get on board.
