They are mostly interested in theoretical analysis and debates in the American 
Left. They see Soviet history as having enough nuance wherein the admirable 
elements (the space program, cybernetics, etc) can and should be salvaged from 
the chaff of Stalinist excess. They highly esteem “Anatomy of a Micro-Sect” by 
Draper as a lens for analyzing the cults.

I find it frankly refreshing and far more interesting than the cult litanies.

Does anyone have background info on this site? I caught the glimmering of an 
idea in their piece on "revolutionary sobriety," but am wary and not all that 
amused by the post-Soviet kitsch.
